I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Masters in Social Work in Spring 2022. For the past year, I worked at Mary Washington hospital providing end of life counseling and support to individuals and their families. I have also assisted those that are homeless in our Fredericksburg community. Helping them to access resources, advocating for support, and strengthening partnerships in the community. While completing my undergraduate degree in Social Work, I was provided the opportunity to work at Childhelp and the Department of Social Services. Each of these experiences provided me with valuable knowledge in working with families and children in need of support, resources, and mental health treatment.
My therapeutic focus of person-centered and mindfulness creates the understanding of what a person wants for their life and the barriers stopping them. I am currently training in Acceptance and Commitment therapy well as Exposure therapy. These gentle and effective treatments break the unhelpful patterns that maintain anxiety and depression while increasing self-worth and self-acceptance. Combining my knowledge of mental health, resources, and advocacy I can offer a variety of therapeutic support to my clients. I am currently working toward full licensure in clinical social work and receive supervision by Meg McSherry, LCSW.
I look forward to giving you the support and tools to help you achieve your wellness goals
